Located in the L’Auberge Casino floating on the Mississippi River,
the ‘Beacon’ pays homage to the many lighthouse structures
guiding sailors along coastal Louisiana, but with a twist. The
‘Beacon’ has become its own icon within the vast array of elements
on the casino floor. It is a marker for gathering as well as a space to
inhabit. The fused, wavy patterned, scotch colored glass is set in a
polished stainless steel frame, forming and intimate room glowing
with amber waves of light.

Contemporary takes on 60’s room dividers, the Staggered Screens
separate areas within the otherwise open plan of the high roller
suites. Using high impact color bands in combination with soothing
darker hues, the screens are tasteful high design elements.

The ‘Tapestry’ project is a suite of 31 thick, fused glass windows for
the St. Katharine Drexel Chapel. The woven pattern alludes to the
ceremonial Kente cloth used by the priests during mass and a
colored numerical scheme based on the Catholic Trinity. Drawing
inspiration from Barnett Newman’s abstract Stations of the Cross,
varying sized areas of color were subtracted and replaced with
clear glass – subtly changing the pattern so each window is unique,
making the tapestry seem animate, and marking the journey of
Christ in absence of any figure.
